“I made this painting across the street from where I grew up. This view is permanently imprinted on my brain. I made this painting after my mom died. My childhood home was long sold and I didn’t know any of the neighbors anymore, but I wanted to document the scene in paint at least once. The hill formation is called Roxy Ann. It can be seen from all over the valley I still live in. From my childhood home, I looked south to see it, and now where I currently live, I look to the north to see it.” - Sarah
